I bought this for a gift for my son and she loves the idea! Unfortunately it developed a clunking noise within a month or more and she discovered there would be a metal piece thats bent. Per Mieles instructions she took it for an authorized dealer who said the damage cant have been caused just by usage but the company rep hasnt been convinced. To make a protracted story short Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew took care in the problem with amazing pace and the vacuum is right now fixed. My daughter really loves this vacuum; not only how well it works and how quiet it is usually. When i need an alternative vacuum (which will probably be eventually! ) I will buy this vacuum out of this seller. This is a good reminder to check a product right straight from the box - turn it the wrong way up and look underneath - to make sure there is no hurt. I replaced the Oreck XL i always bought only because I had back surgeries together with cant lift or push much vac. The Oreck actually will do an okay job along with the pet hair but it was eventually getting old so i thought it would be time for a better carpet cleaner. I was concerned regarding the weight of the Miele causing back strain nevertheless swivel feature makes it very simple to maneuver around home furnishings it almost feels enjoy its self-propelled. Because the S7 Twist is manufactured in Germany at $429 its inexpensive even to get a base model and its a good price for all the features the user gets. The vacuum bags are robust to keep the dust in along with the vacuum housing and motor unit are both sealed to remain dust in. Contrary one review replacement bags are often available online locally with Bed Bath and with mom & pop pressure retailers. The vacuum lodging and motor housings are generally both sealed theres a climate filter (which can be replaced which includes a hepa filter) and there are actually two motors - one for any carpet roller and one for any vacuum suction. Many vacuums from this price range use one motor along with the carpet roller powered by way of the vacuum suction via some sort of belt. The carpet roller automatically turns off as soon as you put the vacuum within a upright position or stepped on an object like the powercord. We tried out most of the models of the Miele S7 before deciding on the base model. The only option Id be considering is the hepa filter and that could be added when i ought to change the filter. Im sure there may be better vacuums out there but afre the wedding of the day Im not inclined to brew a science project out of getting a vacuum. We bought from an honest retailer who has some sort of generous return policy but so far this can be a keepr. Because retailers sites and ads arent constantly accurate I highly recommend visiting the maker website to review that owners manual before investing in. I am glad I acquired this even though it does not take most expensive vacuum better I ever bought. There are great suction. I really enjoy the swivel feature so that it very maneuverable. The switches are generally in the right position. And every part from it is solid and well-built including the filter carriers. I appreciate that the dirt stays inside bag and doesnt leak out in the opening. Also the bags hold a whole lot of dirt and dont require replacing often so truly big expense. The power cord is nice and longer. That attachments work well along with the hose is user-friendly and uncomplicated and put back. I also like how easy it can be to put this vacuum away within a small footprint in that broom closet. The reason I tend not to give it five stars is that electrical cord unwinds and falls to your floor as i pressure so whether I wish to or not I get a tangle of cord on to the floor (I have fixed this which includes a small clasp that keeps the vast majority of cord spooled up neatly). Along with being a bit heavier as compared to I expected. Still it does not take best vacuum I truly used and far better than past Hoover or Eureka cheap floor cleaners.

Love, love, love this vacuum. It is so unbelievably quiet. One of my dogs is obsessed with attacking any vacuum but the Miele is so quiet that she leaves this one alone. The Miele S7 Twist just rolls and curves around furniture legs with ease and does a beautiful job picking up even the finest dirt/dust. My daughter has a Dyson but I find it very heavy and hard to push. The Miele is not too heavy and the carry handle on the back makes it very convenient to carry up stairs, etc. The cord is also nice and long.

We recently purchased the Twist when a 3 year-old Bissell failed. We did considerable research online & considered various reviews in the process. Because we have a Labrador Retriever with pet-hair issues, we targeted Dyson & Miele as the best probable solutions. We went to a local dealer & tested both head-to-head. The Miele picked up test debris that the Dyson did not, so we chose the Twist model priced well-below Dyson's comparable model. We could not be more pleased with the selection. It picks up everything & changing a bag may be an added expense, but it's so much easier & neater than dumping a dust cannister. The Miele makes the carpet look & "feel" much cleaner & more like-new, & does a far-superior job to previous vacuums on bare wood floors. The only challenge is to figure out the easiest way to clean stairs, but once mastered, it's not a problem. You will definitely pay more for the Miele, but it is a superior performer & with separate motors for the beater-brush & the suction, it is pretty much guaranteed to last far longer than other less-expensive varieties. Give the Miele a test & you'll be convinced as to its quality.
