I saw it a Hoover Elite for pretty much 20 years and As i loved it. It has been a workhorse but it gave out before Christmas in 2007. Looking for an opportunity to get a new vacuum to arrange for guests I invested in a Dirt Devil. It was a disaster right from the start. It blew dust everywhere rather then sucking it and is usually was lightweight there was no convenient method to grab it. The onboard attachments have been very short so the vacuum Needed to be picked up to actually have tried it. I could go on and on regarding the negatives so i hasnt been all that unhappy as soon as it broke - except it was eventually on Christmas day 2009 when i was doing the eleventh hour vacuuming prior to choosing my house guest in the airport. This time I determined I might get a good carpet cleaner even if it meant I saw it to go without hoovering for awhile. Fortunately I recently found this one and as soon as it arrived it was with relative ease to assemble. When As i used it I was very happy to get the power of Hoover again. Even though I has not been able to thoroughly vacuum just the summer weeks it sucked up puppy fur with only several passes (instead of that 8-10 passes the Dirt and grime Devil required) and took less time for you to vacuum my entire property than it took to help vacuum a 6x9 carpet with the Dirt Satan. This is definitely a helpful purchase. its not the prettiest vacuum on the globe but it more than counterbalances for lack of thrilling looks by how properly it works. I recommend this vacuum. Update: Ways to about 1-1/2 years considering my first review together with I still LOVE the following vacuum! Finally a carpet cleaner that unlike the ones inside stores with 50 thousand thousand attachments and ridiculous comments does just what you would like - if all you need is a powerful no-nonsense better. Plus I have mild asthma along with the two bagless vacuums As i tried choked me in place when emptying the cannisters concise where I had to own my husband finish that emptying process! At least the bags keep most of the dust and pet dogs fur contained and are easily removed. Also the weight from this vacuum is just excellent not too heavy. And there is a concrete self-propelled feel to the vacuum that means it is just that much better to navigate. Good job Whirlpool! We did a number of research before buying some sort of vaccum cleaner and after having a long long search people felt this vacuum is wat we wish to buy cos with weight and budget.... and we are not wrong in investing from this machine.. It works effectively.. It does its job of cleaning well.. Works good in real wood and carpet... It has also this flexible handle allowing you the cleaner to go contained in the furniture and clean... Body fat is reasonable.. not really heavy.. def manageable.... Worthy the money!!! I think bagged vacuums are greater than the bag less people.. cos it reduces that mess.. So this vacuum considerably covered the basic prerequisites.... Now to the disadvantages its little loud.. but i realize its manageable again!!! I dont have any major issues with it.... It does not accompany any extra attachments but not surprisingly there are provisions to require the extra fittings.. You have got to buy it separately if youre that particular!!! Overall personally i think its well worth the cash.. Well if you need a vacuum cleaner that can just do its effectively work without all those hi-fi detectors and stuff then this vacuum is a good bet.. I would propose it to everyone! I purchased this Hoover vacuum for any private school where As i work. I bought one much like it last spring. Theyre just both used every morning to vacuum 14 classrooms and then a long hallway. They pick up dirt much better than the commercial vacuum people were previously using. Theyre just lightweight easy to handle along with the bags are easy to swap. The first Hoover holds working great so I acquired a second one much like it because the teachers all had to use the Hoover rather than the heavy commercial vacuum.
