We owned this vacuum for only a few months before the belt broke due to the roller brush bearings going bad and melting. I ordered a new brush and belt, but a month later the exact same thing happened. To be fair, two Chinese women with long, thick black hair live in the house, and the hair would often get tangled up in the brush, but I wouldn't expect it should make a vacuum blow out after one months' use. I certainly wouldn't trust it with pet hair.
